Inspiration for the new IKKS 2010

Inspiration for the new IKKS 2010

Posted by Mike McKenna on July 21, 2010.

The inspiration for the new IKKS winter 2010 collection comes from rock, punk and pop. This season more than ever, IKKS expresses its values through updated urban and British themes.

Kid girl (ages 2-8)

Mini girl is practising her favourite activity: shopping mania.

First shop: urban gear. Black, red, grey…a touch of rock. Her heart is set on ruffled blouses, flounced skirts and modified jackets. Her favourite piece is the ultra-feminine modified check shirt with its London alternative rock style.

Next fashion boutique, next style… Her eye picks out pieces with retro looks, déjà vu brought up to date. Tunics with batwing sleeves, skinny jean style stirrup pants, fake-fur sleeveless cardigan. All sure to be in her wardrobe this season!

The last shop is more classic, with dresses and knitted jumpers in intense colours, not forgetting the girly silver padded jacket with matching bag and mittens.

Kid boy (ages 2-14)

Mini boy also has his favourite shops. JEANS STORE for unique, sought-after treated denim. Used look, abrasions on the pockets, leather and denim patches, essential details. The denim biker jacket catches his eye – "the denim for winter 2010".

Then a trip to the CITY STORE, for rock style standards. Sailor top, long dip-dyed shirt, tie-dye knitwear, black trousers – essential items for everyone.

Finally, a visit to the unmissable BRITISH STORE for the finishing touches. Dandy English college looks on a pop background…velvet jackets, shirts, bomber jackets…difficult choice. He takes everything!
